Santa-Cali-Gon-Days!

We had a great time at our outdoor festival in Independence, MO over Labor Day! It is a great show and we met a lot of people. Our top sellers were pumpkin pie cheesecake, jalapeno bacon cheddar dip and sopapilla dessert. This picture is of my husband, Chuck, giving out samples!

My Little Chef!

This is what my seven year old, Caden, wrote on his blog: " Today I went to my mom's Homemade Gourmet closet (yummy!) and found a chocolate truffle cake. I asked her if she would make it, but she said that she didn't want to take the time to do it. But, she did say that I could make it, so I did! I learned what the words "truffle" and "bundt pan" mean. I licked the bowl, the beater, and the spatula. (you can see it on my face in the picture). I ate some cake and it is awesomely yummy!"

Welcome/New Products!

Welcome to my Homemade Gourmet blog! I will be chatting about different recipes and ideas. Please be sure to add your comments! I wanted to start by letting you know that I just got back from our annual convention in Dallas. One of the things that happened there was a top Chef from a major restaurant in Dallas took our products and played with them and created a phenomenal presentation! We learned about the new and returning products for fall and winter. I am so excited about them! Some of my favorites are: Cranberry Orange bread pudding, Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry, Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake, Cinnamon Sopapilla Dessert, Season and Steam Fajitas, and so many more that will be available on August 1st!
The picture I am putting on here is from our convention--it is of CEO, Ken Johnson, Founder Tami Van Hoy, and a great friend, Amy Swaminatham.
